Year 11 Economists visit The Bank of England
Our year 11s, Mr Jones and Mr Pantling have just visited The Bank of England on our annual trip. They had the opportunity to see this magnificent building and spend some time at the museum learning all about the history of the bank as well how they use Monetary Policy to help control inflation. They also had the opportunity to find out exactly how our central bank ensure the security of our notes and coins to prevent counterfeiting and also to pick up a real bar of gold bullion!
After an enjoyable lunch on the South Bank the group visited the London Bridge Experience to find out a bit more about the history of our capital which was educational but rather gruesome in places!
