On Thursday 11th July we took 29 students to Milton Keynes for the TeenTech festival. It was an exciting and interactive day which helped our students understand the range of opportunities across science and technology and the many different entry points as well as helping them to understand their own potential. The students got to take part in a variety of different STEM activities from designing their own tech to meeting with various leading companies and take part in challenges.
At the end of the day there was the award giving for students who had come up with innovative and interesting ideas. Out of all of the students who attended we came first and second for the "Ideas Wall", we also received various special mentions and awards for the "Design a piece of technology" session as well as two of our students designing the winning wind turbine.
