Governors
The governing body is the "critical friend" of the school and as such, seeks to ensure that we fulfil our aims and objectives and meet statutory requirements. It consists of parents/carers and staff representatives and co-opted governors from the local community.
Governors have a key role in overseeing curriculum policies, appointing staff, care and maintenance of the building, monitoring grounds and equipment and setting the budget. Governors also work closely with our senior management staff to create a longer term Strategic Development Plan for the school and an annual School Development Plan.
The full Governing Body meets once termly but there are also working groups and committees which deal with issues in detail. Governors make contributions to the School Newsletter. Governors also issue a full Annual Report for parents/carers.
